Age labels on baby clothes are only a starting point. A 2-year-old can be anywhere from a slim young toddler to a solid, tall one, so two kids the same age can need two different sizes. Epic's sizes run from newborn up through 4 years, which puts a 2-year-old right in the middle of our range. Instead of shopping by age alone, look at the height and weight numbers on our size chart and match those to your child's actual measurements.
If your child is between sizes, we'd size up rather than down. Our muslin cotton has some give in the loose weave, and a little extra room means the piece lasts longer and stays comfortable through a growth spurt. The fabric is double layer, finished with child safe dyes, so it drapes with a bit of weight without feeling stiff, and it gets softer with every wash. It creases easily too, that's just how muslin behaves, not a flaw.

At home, wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or hang to dry, skip the fabric softener and skip high heat, both wear down the weave faster than normal use does.
