A muslin top is the piece you reach for when the temperature is somewhere between "nothing" and "actual clothes" — a cool morning, an over-air-conditioned café, an evening on a terrace. Because the weave is open, it works as a layer without becoming an insulator: it takes the edge off without the sweatiness of a long-sleeve jersey. That makes it more useful across more of the day than the item count suggests.
Cut straight and loose through the body, with a relaxed shoulder so it layers over another piece without binding. Sleeves are generous at the opening rather than tapered, since a tight cuff is where warm air gets trapped. True to age; size up if you plan to layer it over a romper or playsuit rather than wearing it alone.
Cool wash, gentle cycle, no softener, dry in shade. Muslin tops are the fastest-drying item in the range because there is the least fabric — genuinely useful when you are washing in a sink on the road.
