Buying guide
For a toddler in tropical heat, a dad's capsule works best with a loose muslin cotton shirt, lightweight muslin cotton pants or a playsuit for easy days, and a soft muslin cotton hat for sun. The open weave lets air move, dries fast after spills or swims, and softens more with every wash.

We're Vanessa and Bob, and we pick every piece in Epic's lineup with Bali's heat in mind. A toddler capsule for the tropics doesn't need much, just a few breathable muslin pieces that wash easily and mix together. Here's what we'd put together for a dad handling spills, sweat, and naps without overthinking it.
A loose, breathable layer for everyday wear, with an open weave that gives air somewhere to go on hot, sticky days.
Lightweight bottoms that move easily and dry fast after a spill, nap sweat, or a splash in the pool.
One piece, one decision: good for days when your toddler won't stand still long enough for separates.
Keeps direct sun off a toddler's head and face without feeling stiff or scratchy.
A small rotation goes a long way: two or three tops, a couple of bottoms or a playsuit, and a hat cover most days, since muslin dries fast enough to wear again the next day.
No. Wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low or hang, and skip fabric softener and high heat. The fabric gets softer with every wash, and creasing is just part of how it looks.
