Newborns live in onesies, so the fabric matters as much as the fit. We source ours in double-layer muslin cotton because it breathes well in heat and softens more with each wash. It wrinkles easily too, that's just how an open weave behaves, not a flaw.

Muslin is woven loosely, so it creases more than tighter weaves. That's normal and doesn't affect how it wears or washes.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or hang to dry. Skip fabric softener and high heat, both work against the weave.
