Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low or hang to dry. Skip fabric softener and high heat, the fabric does not need them and they wear down the weave faster.
The open weave that makes muslin breathable also makes it crease easily. That is normal for the fabric, not a flaw, and the creases soften out with wear and washing.
