Fabric matters just as much as colour when it comes to heat. Muslin cotton is woven in an open, loose weave, so there are small gaps that let air move instead of trapping it against the skin. It's also lightweight and quick drying. Epic's clothes are double layer muslin cotton, pre-washed so they arrive soft, sewn with flat seams, and finished with child-safe dyes and no harsh finishes. Don't worry if it creases in the wardrobe or in the wash, that's just how a real, open weave behaves.
Keep the fabric working for you by washing cold on a gentle cycle, then tumble drying low or hanging it out. Skip the fabric softener and high heat, both can flatten the weave over time.
